It actually terrifies me.
Which is pretty pathetic considering I’m pretty good with a knife.
But alas,
I have a mental block when it comes to these delectable delights…
And that cuts into my bagel and lox time.
I’ve tried all the tricks…
All the contraptions…

Grab a pair of tongs.
Yup, plain ol’ salad tongs…
Probably have ‘em in your kitchen right now.
Hold said bagel with tongs on a cutting board.
Use sharp serrated knife….
I’m a Cutco girl myself and I like this hearty slicer…
And voila…
You have a perfectly cut bagel with no trip to the ER for stitches!
Uh, yeah…
I know.
